Just a quick note...

I just wanted to make a quick entry here to further explain our site. The main thing I want to focus in on is how Zoocaro.com handles XML feeds.

So as you may know Zoocaro.com will except a product XML feed from a seller. The thing to note is that those items do not post directly to our main site. Those items only post to that sellers "Zoocaro seller page". From there a seller may choose to post those items to the zoocaro main page but it is not required.

Many seller have asked can all of my items just be posted to the main site?

The answer to that question is no. We do not allow sellers to upload all of their products to the Zoocaro site. We set up the site this way to give both large and small companies equal opportunity. Many smaller companies do not have the means to create XML files so we want to be able to offer them a place on the web where they can get visibility without spending a ton.

We do realize that it would take a long time to post all of your items one at a time. What we suggest is that sellers post a few items a week. This will help get more viability to your Zoocaro seller page as well as to your own site. Another thing to note is that all of the items uploaded through XML will still be indexed with Google, increase your visibility on the web.

I hope this helps better understand how the site works and that we are doing all we can to help sellers, sell and shoppers find great items online.

One last thing I wanted to throw out there is that if a seller is willing to link back to us we will give them a sponsored position on our site in the category of their choice, for a minimum of at least 3 months for Free.

New Look and Feel...

Hello All,

I just wanted to take a minute to officially announce the roll out of our new design. With our new look and feel you will find a "What" and "Where" search option to ease your local product search. Additionally categories can be found on the left hand rail for search by category.

New Release

Hello Everybody,

We are happy to announce that with the hard work of Dan Dan the web man we will be making our new release on Sunday the 29th. As with most new releases we expect some bugz so we would appreciate any feed back.

The new website will have a revised look and feel with a focus on a search tool bar for better navigation. As well as a more robust search by category.

On the back end we will continue to do all we can to make it as easy as possible for advertisers to up-load their items. Currently we only accept CSV file but soon we will also be able to up-load XML files. With that said we are giving advertisers more control over modifying and re-posting their listings.

In regards to getting more traffic to Zoocaro.com, through partnerships we plan on getting your listings active on other search engines. One engine that we have been approved for is Oodle. By posting with Zoocaro.com all of your items will also appear on Oodle.com and many more partners as they become available.

As you know we are always working hard to make our site the most comprehensive for shoppers and a great source of traffic for our advertisers. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

We would like to intorduce our new Webmaster / Designer...

Hello Everybody,

We wanted to take a minute to introduce our new Webmaster / Designer. Last week we were fortunate enough to make the acquaintance of Daniel Dulgerian. Daniel comes with many years of experience in website maintenance and development. Daniel in just the last week has made many internal programing changes including a change to our hosting company.

We are excited to have Daniels experience as a resource and with it we know that our service will only get better. As you may know we are continually working to improve our website for our users and our advertisers. While in Beta mode, we plan to improve most on our Search functionality for our users and increasing traffic to our site for our advertisers. Having Daniel on our team will allow us to roll out these changes faster and with better results.

Hello Everybody,

I just wanted to let you know that adding Zoocaro Search to your website is now availble. Add value to your website by allowing shoppers to find items posted on Zoocaro.com directly from your website.

Try it out for your self...there is an example of the Zoocaro search tool to the left of this post.

You can find the code under the link to us tab on our homepage. Please let us know if you would like a different integration and we maybe able to customize it for you.

Go Green
